Featuring built works
ASCEND Residence
ASCEND, designed by Design Network Architects, embodies not only physical restoration but also the emotional reconciliation between past and present. This concept, described as "Ascend," views the 50-year-old house at Bampfylde Road as a continuous vessel that carries its past into a renewed future. The essence of architecture lies not in what is built anew, but in what is remembered and reimagined. By retaining the old structure, we preserve not only a building but also the stories that give it its soul and allow living memory that continues to evolve, breathe, and belong.
Showroom at Rock Road
PAM Awards 2011 | Gold in Showroom
Designed by Design Network Architect. Located along Kuching’s historic Rock Road, this project replaces the typical lightweight showroom with a more solid, site-responsive structure. Designed for visibility and shaped by local setback rules, it uses local materials and craftsmanship to achieve sustainability and cost-efficiency.
Ramp House
The Ramp House in Penang by Design Network Architects reinvents the typical courtyard house, celebrating the journey through the house with a series of ramps; at each landing, life unfolds. It is the result of a collaborative effort between several architecture firms.
Billy Goat Coffee
Billy Goat Coffee, designed by Design Network Architects, transforms a flood-prone storage space into a cosy coffee bar with minimal modifications, blending adaptability and comfort for coffee lovers.
Ching Kwong Methodist Church
PAM Awards 2006 | Mention for Public and Civic Buildings Category
Designed by Design Network Architects, this is a modern interpretation of the church building; sombre and compact exterior with a well-detailed interior that stretches a simple material palette into a warm and personable space.
AV3 House
Design Network Architects transformed the trapezoid-shaped site into an opportunity by offsetting the building line on both sides of the boundary, creating two distinct projections. By softening the sharp edges with a full-height curving glazing, it becomes the focal point of the house, designed to accommodate a feature tree.
