Urban Residences Show Unit
This is the show-unit project for a 17 storey commercial and 136-unit luxury apartment development with lavish poolside and artistic gardens in Kuching, Sarawak. The client’s brief requested for a depiction of sophisticated living; urban chic with sustainable aesthetics in line with the architectural elements. While the interior design is in step with the architecture, it also attempts to soften the masculine lines with tactile and artistic elements.
We adjusted some of the architectural layout to suit a more urbane lifestyle - we incorporated the dining table as part of the dry kitchen for a more spacious family space with an easy kitchen-to-table feel. This is in keeping with more home owners doing their own cooking to control how their food is prepared and cooked for their family.
We used a neutral colour palette with accents of black and gold with bronzed mirror wall panelling; for a hint of opulence. Most of the built in furniture were customised, and we specified some designer pieces. Other subtle design touches include a ‘baby chic’ nursery and upgrading the standard lighting design to have different ambient settings by the use of lamps and concealed lights.

A model of green transformation, Batu Kawa Riverbank Park shows how flood-prone lands can become thriving public spaces that revitalize neighborhoods, connect communities, and embrace the rhythm of nature (by Landscape Architecture Malaysia Yearbook 2025). Once an abandon floodplain, the 15.6-acre Batu Kawa Riverbank Park in Sarawak has been reimagined as a riverfront public park designed to function both as vibrant parkland and a flood plain. Guided by Nature Based Solutions, this dual function design transforms climate risks into community assets. A kilometer of river frontage now supports ecological restoration, protects biodiversity, and offers spaces for recreation, education and cultural engagement.
