Borneo International School reimagines conventional school design through the concept of the “Living Street,” creating vibrant spaces that encourage learning, social interaction, and personal growth. Designed for Kuching’s tropical climate, the school integrates passive environmental strategies while fostering strong community connections. The project demonstrates how creativity can overcome typical constraints to create an engaging and inspiring educational environment.

Led by PDC Design Group, the St Ann Church extension in Kota Padawan is inspired by the Dayak Longhouse, featuring two L-shaped buildings framing a central courtyard. Blending cultural heritage with climate-conscious design, it supports over 2,500 congregants through collaborative, functional spaces.

Designed by PDC Design Group, the Learning Street encourages people to come along in a vibrant and colourful journey, to learn, and to form new relationships in Swinburne University.

In contrast to typical mass housing designs, PDC Design Group conceived this project with modernity and individuality in mind. It showcases unique aesthetics, open-plan layouts, and strategic ventilation for comfort and sustainability.
